The conversation between Modi and Pezeshkian covered several critical topics, including the Chabahar Port, which continues to be a focal point for cooperation between the two nations. The meeting has attracted attention from the United States as well. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio acknowledged the right of countries to independently conduct their foreign policies. However, he cautioned against any actions that might help Iran circumvent U.S. sanctions, emphasizing the importance of adhering to international agreements and obligations.
