‘We Stand Strong With You’: Benjamin Netanyahu’s Message to Delhi

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent a direct message to Delhi after its tragic blast: “We stand strong with you.” The statement to Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered condolences for the eight lives lost.

“Sara and I, and the people of Israel, send our deepest condolences to the families of the victims,” Netanyahu’s message read. He assured India of his country’s support “in sorrow and in strength.”

Netanyahu’s statement was also a defiant one against the perpetrators. “Terror may strike our cities, but it will never shake our souls,” he declared, praising the “unyielding spirit” of the Indian people.

The blast occurred on Monday evening near the Subhash Marg traffic signal. The explosion from a Hyundai i20 is now being investigated as a “terrorist attack” by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

The NIA has formed a “dedicated” team to probe the attack, which top sources believe was executed by a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) module. The probe is coordinating with central and state security units.
